PARAFFIN CONTROL

A well in the Hunton Formation found in the Sooner Trend Field in Garfield, Oklahoma had a depth of 8500 feet and a total production of 2.25 barrels of oil per day.  The wellhead water cut was 0.75 BWPD.  This well was hot oiled once per month.  In addition, the stock tanks required treatment before the crude could be sold.

Treatment with Micro-Bac International bacterial products for oil fields began.  A monthly schedule of microbial treatment was established.

Oil production increased over 300%, to 8.3 barrels of oil per day with the water cut at 1.7 BWPD (note graph).  The well did not require any hot oil treatment.  In addition, the crude sold without treating the stock tanks.

The use of Micro-Bac International bacterial products in this operation proved to be an effective and economical treatment for treating paraffin and increasing production in the oil industry.
